Job grouping allows you to group related items together. Parts, labor, sublet, freight and miscellaneous charges can all be grouped with a
particular job.For example: The parts and labor for a 60K service are separated from the parts and labor for the replacement of heater valve.
This also allows you to keep charges for customer pay, promotional and
shop warranty separate.
This also allows you to discount a single job on the invoice instead of the whole thing. Imagine sending out coupons for a 15% discount on major services. You could discount that service
without interfering with other jobs on the sales order.
It is very surprising how much customers enjoy the job separation. We have received lots on compliments regarding this feature. They really like
seeing how much different repairs actually cost them instead of just a large lump sum at the bottom.
