Look up customers, vendors and vehicles on the same screen using partial names, partial VIN or license plate.   Vehicles will always show up with the customer's name.

Let's say you want search for a Saab with VIN "YS3DF58NXW2003719", you can enter "W2003719" and find it and it's current owner.  You can search for "smith"  and find all your Smith's and Goldsmith's and any other matching name.
